CORALIE
SATTA-WILLIAMS
"Frenchness Guaranteed"
Coralie Satta-Williams
is a remarkable combination of youth, talent and creativity with
a delightful French flair. At the age of two when she began cooking
with her mother and grandmother in her home in Marseilles she developed
a lifelong passion for the culinary arts. Many years later that
passion drew her back to France to study with Chef Piro before returning
to Tucson. In 1992, Ghini's (a nickname given to her by her grandfather)
French Caffe was opened at the northwest corner of Prince and Campbell.
Using only the freshest ingredients to create fine meals has become
her trademark.
As many "regulars"
will attest to, Chef Coralie is famous for her bountiful breakfasts
and lunches that include such favorites as Eggs Provencale, Fresh
Strawberry French Toast and Omelette du Soliel. Lunch at Ghini's
is equally tempting featuring daily specials as well as unique salads,
sumptuous sandwiches, pasta dishes and desserts. Grilled Portabello
and Smoked Gouda salad, the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich and Spicy
Tomato and Anchovy Pasta Sauté are among the offerings all
served in a casual atmosphere at moderate prices. And with the recent
addition of a fine selection of French wines, Pastis and imported
beers, Ghini's is truly a bit of France in Tucson.
